I was born and educated in London, and graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Illustration in 1999. I have been working as a freelance illustrator since that time.

Most of my life has been spent in London, but time living in California and my mother’s home country of South Africa has had an influence on how I work today. Strong memories of beachcombing, evenings outside and local animals and insects come back to me when I’m thinking of things to draw.

Inspirations include unusual animals, food and cooking, love stories, comic strips, gardens and things that go bump in the night.
